carrying drones through the Macau ports of entry
Temporary security control measures will be implemented.
Details are as follows
As Macao SAR is about to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its return to the motherland, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has imposed a ban on the flying of drones in the whole of Macao from 14th to 22nd December 2024 onwards. In order to ensure the smooth progress of the celebration activities as well as the safety of customs clearance at all border control points, the Macao Customs and Excise Department (C&ED) has implemented temporary security control measures for all citizens and visitors carrying drones into the territory via all Macao's border control points since 00:00 on 12th December.
During this period, all persons carrying drones into Macau, whether they are Macau residents or non-Macau residents, are required to co-operate with the Customs officers for relevant registration. Non-Macao residents are required to temporarily store their drones at the Customs station at the port of entry and retrieve the items upon departure with the temporary storage voucher. In addition, if the relevant persons need to leave the territory via other ports, the Customs will assist in transferring the items to the Customs Station at the port of departure. Citizens and travellers are welcome to call the Macao Customs at 8989 4317 if they have any questions about the above customs clearance matters.
